Can you reproduce this bug on X11? I have been testing wayland for a few weeks to see how stable it got. I started with an empty kde configuration folder. Before that I used X11 for years (and occasional wayland tests) and have never encountered "black boxes". I may check, if I can reproduce it now on X11? But in the past (on neon bionic) it never happened. There is a way not to get the titlebar black but make it disappear instead. I am Houdini ;) I changed the window title font to something else and the "raised" window titlebar - of Thunderbird/Xwayland in my case - became invisible. If I doubleclick the title bar (to get the window contents back) it is visible again. Sometimes this font changing crash plasmashell and leave the titlebar visible. I can upload a crashdump if you are interested? Can you still see this behavior. In the past I saw flickering titlebars but not anymore I haven´t seen it for a long time, too. I guess it´s fixed for XWayland. Native windows don´t support it (yet). Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
