Activating "Blur background" has no effect and is confusing. The reason was there is no global GUI option to enable blur in yakuake.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Yakuake with a default yakuakerc
2. Go to Appearance > Color scheme & font > [color scheme ] > Edit
3. Set "Background transparency" to say 20%
3. Check "Blur background"

OBSERVED RESULT

Background is transparent but clear

EXPECTED RESULT

Background is transparent but blurred
