With git master everything, my laptop's brightness is no longer noticed by powerdevil. The applet doesn't display brightness and the keyboard's brightness up/down keys do nothing.

This is reproducible with everything KDE from git master, but not Plasma 5.18.3. Seems like a regression somewhere in git master.

I tried to bisect, but rolling back to the 5.18 version in my git master session doesn't restore the missing functionality. It only works again when I log into the 5.18 session with distro-provided software, rather than the stuff I've built from source.

Then it's clearly a setup issue on your machine.

Still works for me.

Probably, though I haven't changed any config bits other than continuously upgrading to the latest git master every week or so.

Any idea where to start looking?
