"Update" page showing both versions of currently installed packages and updates available as expected
I confirm this behaviour on KDE Neon with Plasma 5.18.4.1. I only get the new version; in order to see the old version I have to open another view (e.g. "about") and then go back to "updates". Can you still reproduce? Maybe it's because you opened the updates page before the packages got resolved? If you get to reproduce, please try going to the homepage and back to the updates and tell us whether it shows the correct information. I can still reproduce and yes, I can see the correct info if I switch to another view (e.g. "about") and then back to updates. This happens even when I click on the "view updates" button on the "updates avaialable" notification. I never see the correct info being displayed. Created attachment 130676 [details]

Same thing here. This bug just happened again on neon unstable when I clicked on updates notification immediately after login. I have recorded a video.

Discover shows the versions after to be restarted
The bug occured when I started Discover by clicking on updates notification shown a few seconds after login.
A possibly relevant merge request was started @ https://invent.kde.org/plasma/discover/-/merge_requests/355 (In reply to Bug Janitor Service from comment #10) > A possibly relevant merge request was started @ > https://invent.kde.org/plasma/discover/-/merge_requests/355 A small note for clarification: I experience this bug with files installed through the distro's package manager, so this merge request won't fix that, unfortunately. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 434936 *** |
Created attachment 126787 [details] 'Update" page showing the versions of the updates available, versions of currently installed packages are missing SUMMARY I can't reproduce this behavior consistently. Sometimes when I open Discover via updater icon in systray, the 'Update" page only shows the version of the update available, not the version of the package currently installed. See the attached screenshots please. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. click on updater icon in systray when updates are available 2. 3. EXPECTED RESULT 'Update" page should always show the version of currently installed packages SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1
