As the title says. Sorry if this is not the right place to post a feature request.
I believe it should be up to the individual to decide if they want this feature. I, for one, love to have this for myself and my family and am willing to take the risk.

This is now implemented with optional auto-updates in Plasma 5.21. You can turn them on in System Settings > Software Update
