Description Sergey 2020-03-05 06:40:07 UTC
SUMMARY
Dolphin xdg folder paths (on the side panel) do not match with ones in plasma settings->applications->paths

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. change some paths with xdg-user-dirs-update / create new directories if required
2. relogin / reboot
3. check plasma settings/ new directories will be there.
4. try to click to folder on dolphin's side panel. It still tries to open old paths.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 Sergey 2020-03-05 06:42:07 UTC
It's on Ubuntu 19.10
Comment 2 Nate Graham 2020-03-05 14:11:37 UTC
Yeah, Dolphin's Places panel items are not automatically synced with those paths. The data sources are different, and I don't think it makes sense to unify them.
Comment 3 Sergey 2020-03-05 16:08:30 UTC
I see. I have fixed every single path manually.
So it's kind of double work. First to fix standard way and second to fix Dolphin way. Weird.
But I have no choice :-(

I'd like to re-open this bug as while the behaviour described in the original report remains unchanged this seems to be working flawlessly in the flatpak version.
