You can send or display SMSs containing enters but they will get displayed as spaces in the conversation view.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Send an SMS with newlines from KDE Connect OR your phone (does not matter).

OBSERVED RESULT
SMS displays in one line.

EXPECTED RESULT
Newline character breaks the line.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
No KDE environment.
Linux: Linux ami 5.4.22-1-lts #1 SMP Mon, 24 Feb 2020 12:19:58 +0000 x86_64 GNU/Linux
KDE Connect: 1.4-2
QT: 5.14.1-2

Thank you for reporting this.

By any chance, did you notice if it used to work? I noticed this issue for the first time a couple of days ago as well, and I believe I specifically tested it before, so I think it used to work. It's possible one of the dependencies updated and broke linefeeds.

Unfortunately no, since I started using KDE Connect the day I reported 
the bug.

An awesome piece of software, by the way!
