Nevermind, I see this is a feature rather than a bug. I guess an easier method of deleting multiple brushes would be nice to have if I have to do it every time I restart the program. Perhaps the backups not showing up until restart is the true bug. We're in the middle of the resource management system rewrite which hopefully won't lead to issues like that. When we release the new major version - either 4.3.0 or 5.0 (if we won't release 4.3.0 at all), it will be included, for now you cannot test it but we will release a test version quite soon (hopefully in a month or two). You can ask for more information on krita-artists.org if you want to know something specific. And yes, it sounds like a bug, it actually sounds like a bug already reported. I think both bug 359854 and bug 393191 sound similar. We still keep old bugs to make sure we get rid of all of them when we finish the rewrite. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 359854 *** |
Created attachment 126430 [details] The state of my poor brushes SUMMARY I've been trying to create a new list of brushes recently for personal use, but I've found it's nearly impossible to organize them from scratch. Creating a brush and then editing the brush works fine, minus a few unrelated bugs, but once I restart the program my entire brush list is unorganized and there are duplicates everywhere. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Create a brush and name it something, save it 2. Play around with the settings to change the look of the brush, overwriting the old brush every couple changes 3. restart Krita OBSERVED RESULT There are a dozen or so 'backup' brushes now filling up the entire brush panel that came out of nowhere EXPECTED RESULT The brush panel when opening Krita is the same as when I closed Krita.
