Could someone please add a clarification to which component this ticket belongs? Playing ping-pong won't solve anything :) If the same string is visible in both its translated version and the original version, I highly doubt it's a problem in the translation. So I'm changing it again. My guess would be the QM translation installation failing in QML plugin loading. Discover uses KUserFeedback from QML only. I’ve tried reproducing this bug in a different locale using the latest versions available on openSUSE Tumbleweed. Using the Norwegian Nynorsk translation (which is complete), I don’t seen any duplicated strings, but I don’t see the *translated* strings either. The bottom half of the window is shown in English (even though the strings *are* translated in the corresponding PO file). I’ll attach a screenshot.

Looks this was only partly true. *One* string is shown as translated, ‘Panel Count’ (shown as ‘Paneltal’, not visible in the screenshot). But this string comes from plasmashell.po, not userfeedbackprovider5_qt.po, where the rest of the strings are. *** Bug 482559 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** |
