icons

I installed digikam on xubuntu 18.04 from the repositories (apt install digikam). It works great, but some icons are missing as you can see in the attachment. I guess these are kde icons that are missing in xubuntu, right? How can i add them?

You have to install the Breeze Icon package.

Look in the digiKam settings under Miscellaneous-> Appearance. And select the Breeze Icon theme, either Breeze for a light color theme or Breeze-Dark for a dark one.

Start digiKam from the console and activate the debug output with:

export QT_LOGGING_RULES="digikam.*=true"

Then post the messages in the console until digiKam has started.

Did you read that you have to restart digiKam after changing the icon theme? Is the Breeze Icon theme in your distribution possibly packed in different packages?

it now worked, I did a reboot and restarting digikam several times and switching themes, at some point it worked. Simple restart of digikam I tried before already but it did not work. Ok thx
