terminal/subterminal - fragments left top

SUMMARY
I use a script to play radio (https://www.ubuntu-user.com/Magazine/Archive/2014/20/Playing-streams-off-the-web-with-FFplay). The first terminal shows the radiostations and plays the chosen station in a 2nd terminal window.
As soon as the second terminal pops up pieces of the Dock-Settings background appear and disappear again when i close the terminal.
The same fragments i see sometimes when i switch fast with "alt+tab".
Only happens when using the Unity Layout!

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. execute script
2. choose station by number
3. enter

OBSERVED RESULT
ffplay window pops up and Latte Dock gets confused

EXPECTED RESULT
well, you know

Why don't you enable compositing?
Comment 2 Michail Vourlakos 2020-02-14 09:50:40 UTC
Except enabling compositing I have no idea from where this comes from.
Comment 3 holzboa 2020-02-14 10:17:04 UTC
Thanks a lot! I found the checkbox "permit applications to block compositing" - unchecked and works! Can you please point me somewhere i can read about this connection - i never recognized something like that (and i don't know a thing about compositing).
