I cannot reproduce FWIW. The above should have of course read 5.18.0 for plasma version. Anyway it's still an issue with 5.18.1 along with mesa and kernel updates. I'm going to double check on this with KDE Neon. If you don't get another post saying otherwise, assume the same issue manifested there too. Okay, so it doesn't happen booting with neon-user-20200213-1120.iso. I don't know what is causing this but it's not theme related because it happens on manjaro with Breeze Light in use too as already explained. I've tried setting the same hardware options and compositor options with Neon. The only difference would be kernel and module versions, Xorg and mesa builds. Either way, I don't expect you to be able to resolve this. I'll close it as RESOLVED but if you are able to change the status to NOTABUG or CLOSEDWONTFIX feel free to. Sorry for the wasted time, irritating for all of us... No worries. :) |
Created attachment 125994 [details] image showing what I mean about ugly border SUMMARY Only present in this dialogue, does not happen with windows on screen when using Breeze or Breeze dependent themes. It's something to do with the shadow entry in the theme file I think. It's also present no matter what compositor settings I use. If I click on the theme it disappears. Click on another theme or close the window and open it again, it re-appears. It's also irrelevant if I set the Global Theme to Breeze instead of Breath2, the same still happens. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open KDE System Settings 2. Open Window Decorations grid OBSERVED RESULT As described above EXPECTED RESULT Normal appearance SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro KDE 18.1.5 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.18.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.67.0 Qt Version: 5.14.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Intel HD 4000 GPU integrated into i3-3110m, using OpenGL 3.1 but like I said that is irrelevant too since it happens whatever compositor options are in place. MESA build 19.3.3, using X11 not KWayland - Xorg 1.20.7, Kernel 4.19.103 Any more info please contact me. Filed at the request of Nate Graham
