Description macsnail 2020-02-08 09:09:55 UTC
SUMMARY
It happens that from 1 payee the transactions concern different categories. E.g. i have exacltly the same payee for gas and electricity but 2 different bills and transactions.

It is differentiated in the memo field.

It would be great if in such cases additionally the automatic atribution of category could be also dependent on some entries in the memo field.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.
2.
3.

OBSERVED RESULT
Only one default category par payee is possible.

EXPECTED RESULT
More default category par payee to be possible - depending on some content found in the field "memo".

In case the amounts differ and are identical from payment to payment: create two scheduled transactions and assign the categories. That will take care of your problem. At least it works for me for several years now for my gas and electricity payments.

Dear Thomas,

Thank You for the hint, I will try this option, however I see it as a kind
of workaround.
Anyway if it works... then it will be fine!

Thank You

Maciej
