SUMMARY

When trying to export only a clip I chose 'Selected zone' but the output file resulted in an empty file.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a video project with multiple clips
2. Select one clip
3. open Render dialog and choose the Rendering Option 'Selected zone'
4. Start the rendering. it finishes immediately.

OBSERVED RESULT

The output video file is a 0 second video.

EXPECTED RESULT

The output video file contains the selected clip.

I cannot reproduce. Make sure the in/out points are set in the timeline before you render the timeline zone. See attached screenshot.
