There are no changes in IPv6 configuration between Plasma 5.17 and Plasma 5.18 so my first guess would be that the issue is somewhere else. Setting "IPv6 is required" to true mean, that the connection will fail to connect if it doesn't manage to get IPv6 address. It was a config issue on my system, so I close this bug. Sorry.
