STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. open system settings > account details > user manager
2. click on your current avatar, click on "Clear avatar" (your avatar is replaced with the default avatar)
3. click on "Apply" button

OBSERVED RESULT
your avatar replaced with the default avatar after the step 2 is back

EXPECTED RESULT
"Clear avatar" feature works

Cannot reproduce. Works for me following those steps to reproduce.

Ah, it's only broken for the current user. Works for a different user. Can confirm now.

This feature was removed in the Plasma 5.20 rewrite, as it was never actually supported at all by the backend library used for user management. No more feature, no more bug. :)
