SUMMARY
The Application starter menu does not open on click or hotkey in Plasma-Wayland session, after repeatedly clicking the menu.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
0. Vertical taskbar on left side (not sure if this is required)
1. Select the Wayland session for Plasma
2. Repeatedly and quickly click on the application starter with the mouse (mash the mouse button) until it doesn't work any more

OBSERVED RESULT
Application starter does not open

EXPECTED RESULT
Application starter window should open

Is this still happening in Plasma 5.20?
