Description Fabian Vogt 2020-01-15 10:34:20 UTC
1. With Plasma 5.16 or older, disable "apply colors to non-kde applications"
2. Update to Plasma 5.17 or newer
3. Colors are not applied to non-kde applications, which is now a hidden setting as the checkbox is gone

Workaround: edit .config/kcmdisplayrc and set exportKDEColors=true (or delete the file).

Related to Bug 412331. Might be fixed with https://phabricator.kde.org/D24324. Carson, can you comment on how this could/should be handled?
Comment 2 Kai Uwe Broulik 2020-01-15 19:08:28 UTC
How's that related to this bug? This bug is about the option not being present anymore and if you had it off before you can't turn it on now.

My sense was that https://phabricator.kde.org/D24324 is a way for us to remove this old no-longer-configurable functionality entirely.

It's too late to do anything with this
