This error message might be helpful: An error occurred while accessing '222.4 GiB Encrypted Drive', the system responded: An unspecified error has occurred: No such interface “org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Filesystem” on object at path /org/freedesktop/UDisks2/block_devices/dm_2d0 Hello. Here the same with Kubuntu Focal Fossa: unlocking LUKS, I can see logical volumes in /dev/mapper but not automatic mounting it. Next days I'll test with Debian/KDE too. The same device performs OK using Ubuntu Mate or Debian Mate testing branch. Hello again Tested with Debian 11 KDE, I can unlock LUKS container, but in order to see logical volumes I had to install udisks2-lvm2, after that I can see logical volumes (LV) into /dev/mapper and I can see it in KDE Partition Manager too, with name and capacity right, but is not possible automatic mount, no permissions available. Seeing this on Kubuntu too: I have an encrypted Kubuntu 22.04 LTS system on USB. I'm unable to decrypt & mount that USB partition on my Kubuntu 23.10 desktop. Used to work perfectly, no idea what's changed. There's nothing wrong with the older file system, if I boot from the flash drive, everything decrypts & boots just fine. It only fails when trying to decrypt & mount on a newer KDE system. Thanks, Lance I have another error but also cannot mount encrypted volume with dolphin/disks menu Error text: Object does not exist at path “/” Operating System: KDE neon 6.0 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.5.0-27-generic (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × Intel® Core™ i7-8750H CPU @ 2.20GHz Memory: 15.3 ГиБ of RAM Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® UHD Graphics 630 Manufacturer: Dell Inc. Product Name: XPS 15 9570 Can confirm the same problem. I have full disk encryption and a second encrypted disk that I used to decrypt and mount through Dolphin. Now I click on the encrypted disk and Dolphin throws ' Object does not exist at path "/" ' error message. It also seems that the volume name can't be read while the disk is encrypted. As a result, the tab that opens after clicking the encrypted disk has a name "7.7 GiB encrypted drive", which is my already decrypted swap partition. Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20240417 KDE Plasma Version: 6.0.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.1.0 Qt Version: 6.7.0 Kernel Version: 6.8.6-1-default (64-bit) That's a recent regression, now fixed. See Bug 485507. The original report here was actually also fixed years ago, and then that fix regressed and caused Bug 485507. So ultimately it should just be fixed again for everyone now. :) |
