Another reason to have an end time for markers is that it would allow marker to be displayed (optionally) on the clip or timeline while being played, similar to how subtitled might be displayed. Nice request. I would like to see something like that. Would you mind opening an issue at the gitlab instance with more details on how this should be implemented and maybe even images to illustrate better. Btw, here is the address: https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/issues OK, I've added it. Thanks for your consideration! https://invent.kde.org/kde/kdenlive/-/issues/614 |
I like the way Final Cut Pro allows the user to add markers with a duration, and then the markers can be treated as clips and easily be imported into the timeline. So if the clip has a 10-second part like "Susan begins to cry", this is listed as a nested view under the clip. Scene 6 - Close Up (Susan) Susan Begins to Cry (in-point: 2:15:02, out-point: 2:25:15) Sam Walks Away This is presented in the Project Bin, and those "subclips" (clips with in/out points) can be inserted into the timeline, and adjusted. Perhaps there's already some way to see the list of markers and use those as clips, or at least in in-point. I'd love to see a duration (or out-point) with the markers, I think it'd be helpful for organizing. Thanks for your consideration. Tac
