JPEG works without a problem here. At HEIC Exiv2 is not ready yet, so we cannot read any metadata yet. Maik Which kind of camera ? Did you see any orientation flag set in Exif metadata ? If yes which value ? Can you share photo to test here ? Please use cloud storage. Happy new year... Gilles Maybe Andrius has disabled the option to display images aligned to the Exif orientation flag? We have excluded video files based on user request, they are always displayed aligned. I will provide a sample file and a screenshot in a bit. I refreshed the thumbnails and the problem has gone away. I guess my database was busy. Sorry for the noise. |
digikam 7.0.0-beta1 from Dec-31 on Win 10 x64 Thumbnails for portrait oriented ("orientation" - "right, top" per the metadata panel) JPG and HEIC files aren't shown properly. MP4s and MOVs are fine.
