As the backup works with a mounted network path, this should not be a problem for KMyMoney. Backing up to a UNC path e.g. //server/share/dir/file depends on many settings that are outside the control of KMyMoney, e.g. the settings of the host of the share. Further information is required to determine whether there is actually a problem with KMyMoney. I just tried to backup a kmymoney file on a virtual Windows 10 guest system to a folder provided by the (Linux) host (\VBOXSRV\<USER>\kmymoney), which worked fine. kmymoney uses a command line tool to perform the backup 'copy /b /y <source> + nul <destination> ' which means that if this command can be executed outside of kmymoney, there should be no problem with kmymoney. ๐๐งน โ ๏ธ This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
