SUMMARY
When receiving an SMS, a popup notification appears on the desktop and does not hide after the notification countdown is over


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Connect your phone with kde connect sms notifications enabled and receive an SMS.
2. A popup appears with the content of the SMS
3. Despite setting the 'hide notification after' 3seconds (in my case)in kde settings, the SMS popup persist and can only be closed by clicking the cross icon on the popup

OBSERVED RESULT
Sms notifications do not respect kde settings.


EXPECTED RESULT
Popup should auto-disappear after the number of seconds set in system settings for hiding notifications

The pop up window described has been replaced in favour of reply-able notifications, which should integrate nicely with the rest of the desktop environment.
