SUMMARY
I am using steam version. However, language setting seems doesn't work when I try to change it to simplified Chinese. What strange is when I am using appimage version, everything goes well.
I have tried to change the language of operation system (deepin Linux), steam, krita itself, but nothing works. It is still English.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install steam version
2. Change the primary language to simplified Chinese（简体中文）
3. Restart krita

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing changed

EXPECTED RESULT
It should be translated to Chinese

Hi,

If you change other settings, do they stay changed, or are those reset as well?

It seems that everything works well except the language setting.

This looks like it was fixed in Krita 4.2.9, at least on my plasma linux system.
