SUMMARY
When playing a game that disables compositing, night color still seems to work, however, when the game closes, night color is not reapplied, i.e. it must be manually toggled to restore the blue reduction.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a game that disables compositing while night color is on
2. Close the game

OBSERVED RESULT
Blues return

EXPECTED RESULT
Blues stay suppressed

Xorg night color with nvidia drivers 435.21.

It's possible that the video games does something with the gamma ramp. Can you toggle compositing by pressing Alt+Shift+F12? Is blue color still suppressed?
