SUMMARY
Opacity slider does not make window transparent.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Decrease opacity under context menu -> "Opacity"
2.

OBSERVED RESULT
KRuler becomes darker and finally solid black for 0% "opacity".

EXPECTED RESULT
KRuler should become transparent.

Cannot reproduce with today's Tumbleweed on an intel iGPU. Is composting enabled?

Compositing is off - that caused the problem.

If opacity setting cannot work without compositing, then I would suggest that the Opacity menu should be disabled if compositing is disabled.
