screenshot of AWC buttons layout and context menu

SUMMARY
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or I'm overlooking some configuration setting, could someone possibly advise me?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install AWC plasmoid
2. configure to hide window title bar on maximized windows
3. configure to show all window management buttons on the AWC plasmoid

OBSERVED RESULT
Clicking the pin button does nothing (in contrast, the quit, maximize, and minimize buttons all work as expected).
Likewise, clicking the "Toggle Pin To All Desktops" option in the context menu revealed with a mouse secondary button click over the quit button of the AWC plasmoid does nothing.

EXPECTED RESULT
The selected window/app would be pinned to every desktop (confirmed in my pager plasmoid), and when I switch to another devirtual desktop, I would see that particular window/app.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.65.0
Qt Version: 5.13.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
In the AWC config window, the version is listed as 1.7.4

I use the pin button so I don't have to enable compositing and desktop effects to move windows to other desktops, as I have an older laptop with less resources.

Ideally, the window icon (if present, but I personally don't like showing it because it's not consistent with my monochromatic panel icon theming, and takes up horizontal space on my screen which is still not wide enouugh for every plasmoid I want in my top panel), or perhaps a new special window management menu button would show every option Kwin gives you for window management.

I can confirm, also using Arch. This button and context window used to work at some stage, and now no longer does.

AWC plasmoid?
if the bug is caused by a third-party widget/applet, then that's where you need to report it.
Comment 3 Derrick G. 2021-07-09 20:36:40 UTC
That's strange ... back in 2019 and today, as best I can determine, it is no longer a third-party project (?)

See here https://github.com/KDE/plasma-active-window-control
And here https://github.com/kotelnik/plasma-applet-active-window-control

So what am I missing?

I came here to report this. Happens to me too. ArchLinux.

Active Window Control was archived, and saw its last update 2 years ago. All bugs for it are being closed.

Thanks for your understanding.
