SUMMARY
I really think that having our great KDE Connect app, compatible with MPV would be fantastic. Is there anything that stops this to be a reality?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Change from VLC (compatible) to MPV caused the lost of this amazing and really comfortable multimedia control from my Android smartphone.

You can easily fix that by installing https://github.com/hoyon/mpv-mpris. It basically comes down to adding mpris2 functionality to mpv
