Hi Michael, You're using software that is almost four years old. I'm afraid we cannot offer support for such old software, and many or even most of the bugs you are experiencing have been fixed since then. In particular, MTP support was completely written for better reliability recently. Consider upgrading. Kubuntu 19.10 is quite nice, and 20.04 will be released in a few months as an LTS release. Would move to newer Linux but cannot. Insufficient root partition room. Need 12 gig more (working space??). Would like to use thumb drive for temporary added root space but when mounted, is not part of partition. Thumb drive is a separate segment. Any suggestions. > 16.04 is still maintained. It is maintained by Ubuntu, so if you need bug fixes for this version, please report this issue to Ubuntu maintainers. > Thumb drive is a separate segment. Any suggestions. It is possible to mount individual directories on separate partitions. Please ask in Ubuntu or general Linux forums for help. This bug tracker is not a help forum. |
