Screenshot showing working emoji in KDE Connect Messaging app
Hi Fabby, Thanks for taking the time to report this. Unfortunately it works exactly as expected for me (see attached). The font rendering is handled at a level below KDE Connect (Qt Quick, at least) so you might need to configure some system setting. Maybe the font package being used is incomplete and doesn't include emoji? I am going to close this bug since it isn't at KDE Connect's level, but please feel free to report back if you do manage to figure out the issue. Thank you very much for your response. It does indeed seem to be a font issue, but I can't find any fonts that do what your screenshot shows. Please tell me which font you're using??? (In reply to Fabby from comment #3) > Thank you very much for your response. It does indeed seem to be a font > issue, but I can't find any fonts that do what your screenshot shows. Please > tell me which font you're using??? I don't know anything about fonts. I don't customize them so I am using whatever the default was. The Plasma Fonts System Settings Module shows "Sans Serif". |
