Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Is there a wiki page or tutorial that shows me how to do this debug symbols, because I found that this bug is always reproductible only at each new boot. What is your distribution? On Neon you can do that with this command: sudo apt install kscreen-dbgsym I use : Operating System: Kubuntu 19.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.65.0 Qt Version: 5.12.4 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-26-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 2 × Pentium® Dual-Core CPU T4400 @ 2.20GHz Memory: 5.6 GiB of RAM When I tried to install kscreen-dbgsym I get the following error : sudo apt install kscreen-dbgsym Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: kscreen-dbgsym : Depends: kscreen (= 4:5.16.5-0ubuntu1) but 4:5.17.4-0ubuntu1~ubuntu19.10~ppa1 is to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. OK, so you have this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~kubuntu-ppa/+archive/ubuntu/backports The error you get is strange, debug packages are there: http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu/pool/main/k/kscreen/ Can you download and install this package: http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu/pool/main/k/kscreen/kscreen-dbgsym_5.17.4-0ubuntu1~ubuntu19.10~ppa1_amd64.ddeb You can also install debug packages from this location: http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu/pool/main/p/plasma-workspace/ plasma-workspace-dbgsym_5.17.4-0ubuntu1~ubuntu19.10~ppa1_amd64.ddeb libkworkspace5-5-dbgsym_5.17.4-0ubuntu1~ubuntu19.10~ppa1_amd64.ddeb We can't do much until there's a backtrace from kscreen, marking as needsinfo Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been in NEEDSINFO status with no change for at least 15 days.
