This is most probably a MLT bug which should be solved in the meantime. Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.12.0a which contains the fixed MLT version. Can you please test the latest appimage and let us know if it is fixed? Yes it seems to work fine now. I put a colon in the name of the file and the final file played just fine.Thanks.
