This is a massive problem for > potential adoption of Okular. Do you mean stamps or some other type of annotations? Is it a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=383651 ? Thanks in advance for your answers. I am referring to text annotations. highlighting seems to be displayed in other apps too. Can you attach an example? For the record, text annotations work for me in FoxIt Reader 9.7 for Windows (using wine) and mupdf 1.16 (linux). I tested it again on Android and it was reproducable with the following PDF Readers for Android: - Google Drive PDF Viewer - Google PDF Viewer - Adobe Acrobat Viewer My friend just tested it again on Windows and it wasn't displayed when opened directly in the Chrome browser. It was displayed when opened in Foxit PDF Reader, but in a weird format. You mean the typewriter annotation, right? Can you attach a PDF you've annotated in this way so we can check it out? (In reply to Nate Graham from comment #5) > You mean the typewriter annotation, right? Can you attach a PDF you've > annotated in this way so we can check it out? Right now I can't send the file I believe it should be reproducable with any file, if not I will attach a file later. here's a file
Quick test for the file attached: MuPDF 1.16.1 shows annotations Evince 3.32.1 shows annotations Qpdfview 0.4.18 shows annotations FoxIt Reader 8.2 shows annotations Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020 shows annotations (without color) PDF-XChange Viewer 2.5 shows annotations Infix Pro 7.1 does not show annotations Mendeley Desktop 1.19.4 for Linux shows annotations Google Chromium viewer 80.0.3987.122 does not show annotations (In reply to Yuri Chornoivan from comment #10) > Quick test for the file attached: > > Infix Pro 7.1 does not show annotations The bug with not showing annotations seems to be fixed in Infix Pro 7.4.4 (not tested) https://www.iceni.com/infix_change_history7.htm (see z3621) So I guess it's an exclusive problem of Chrome/Chromium viewer. It's definitely not an exclusive problem of Chrome/Chromium viewer. I can't give you a complete list right now, but there are more, and I will update here when I can, but also ask to test further. It might be that some other readers use the same underlying renderer. Hello. I have a very similar problem in Okular 1.9.2 for Windows (the current Microsoft Store version). The difference is, typewriter annotations are not displayed EVEN in Okular. Neither in Chrome 80.0. Foxit Reader 9.7 works fine but the text color remains black. |
