Most music players I've used have a nice behavior whereby using the "skip backwards" action first goes to the beginning of the current song, and then only after that goes back to the previous song. Typically the action goes to the previous song only if the playback position is within the first 3-5 seconds of playback.

This feature makes it easy to replay the current song when it's close to the end. It would be nice if Elisa had this too.

That would be a nice idea.

I am afraid I cannot really adds this to the next release. What do you think ?

No rush. :) If I get some time I might work on it myself.

This was implemented in https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/elisa/-/commit/dfa4cb9aae66dbfad72fe5a03c64377587871302 for Elisa 20.12.0!

It seems to me that such a function is unnecessary.
The button means "Previous Track", not "Previous track, but if more than 5 seconds have passed, then repeat the song".
If you need to go back to the beginning of the track after it ends, then there is a "Repeat playback" button.
The current function is misleading.
