Picture of the correct setup babove and below te setup after reboot.

SUMMARY
Every time I reboot, the order of my displays gets changed, from 5 displays next to each other to one display on the left and the other 4 having 100% overlap.
I attached a screenshot of the before and after reboot.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. change the order of the displays, so they are all next to each other
2. reboot

OBSERVED RESULT
All but the far left display overlap 100%

EXPECTED RESULT
The display order / position is the same as before the reboot.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.64
Qt Version: 5.13.2

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am running a combination of the integrated intel graphics and an amd gpu (r7 250x). The center 3 displays are connected to the amd gpu and the outer 2 displays are connected to the intel integrated graphics.

I suspect this is where the problem occurs.
I have not tested this on anything but kde and xorg.

(haven't bothered looking at how to configure my setup with 2 gpu's in wayland where it works out of the box in xorg)

PS if there is anything I could have done better in this report please say so.

First props for this funky setup.

Try 17.3 and see if it fixes your issue. I guess not since none of your screens is rotated. But try nonetheless.

It would be interesting to see if following source code change makes it work:

Now updated to 17.3, gave it an extra reboot after setting the display order in 17.3
Problem still persists.

At random intervals I get this type of distortion on one or more of my center 3 screens.

The screen is divided into bands of around 60px high.
Divided equally over the content of all 5 monitors. What should be displayed on the actual monitor remains clear the rest has some form of distortion.

The cursor behaves normally, and on screenshots the issue is not reproduced.

The issue occurs intermittently on one or more of my more of my center 3 monitors after reboot.

Repositioning the screen fixes the issue.

I never updated this bug but as of recently it seems to have fixed itself some time ago.
