Kmail's message window was only showing black, so I quit kmail and started it again, only now it crashes immediately on startup before any windows are displayed.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

Are you using NVIDIA binary drivers, and installed or updated those and/or the kernel, without rebooting afterwards?

Given this was 3 weeks ago, I really cannot remember. I am using the proprietary driver. I doubt I would have filed a report if I knew that to be the case but it's still a possibility.

Feel free to close, if the same crash occurs again I can re-open.
