SUMMARY

Elements of the "file picker" when you navigative folders to open or save a file are not aligned was they should be.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open compacted file with ark
2. try to extract
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
xdg-portal will be used to give you a interface similar to Dolphin, right?

EXPECTED RESULT
Works as intended.

We use KFileWidge, it's not our own custom dialog or anything like that.

That extra space I was seeing that could be resized was the Visualization Panel (F11).
So, "not a bug".
I just don't understand why is even the point of having the Visualization Panel on Ark's file picker when extracting files, why it's always enabled by default for me if it doesn't nothing, I can't preview any file when extracting the contents of compacted size.

Anyway, this should be closed.
