Description skoupad-bugzilla 2019-11-02 12:03:23 UTC
When I use digikam to preview videos, it changes VLC volume to 50%. I tried changing the volume in preview mode to 100% manually, but it didn't save it. Restarting digikam resets volume to 50%. Is there a way to change digikam default video preview volume? Or maybe a way to make changing volume inside digikam to be independent from other apps?

I use the appimage version on gnome. I suspect (but cannot confirm) that if I used KDE maybe it would affect system volume, since digikam uses QT. But that is just an assumption.

Here the volume are completely independent of each other. It certainly depends on which audio mixer is used. The volume is adjusted via QtAV, we have no influence on that. Yes, the volume in digiKam is currently not saved and is back to 50 percent after startup. I can change that.
