Console output after launching plasmashell

SUMMARY
The application launcher (either Kickoff or alternative plasmoids like Simple Menu) is constantly being updated and it cannot be used properly.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open the application launcher
2. Go to the "Applications" section

OBSERVED RESULT
The application menu keeps getting refreshed showing the message "Applications updated." (Kickoff) or just being reloaded every second (Simple Menu, Kicker).

EXPECTED RESULT
The application menu should not be updating so repeatedly.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma:
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.63.0
Qt Version: 5.13.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
* "plasmashell" always shows a high CPU usage (around 10% reported in KSysGuard).
* I've had this problem before, but, at least in such previous cases, it had always been a configuration issue (frequently a bad *.desktop file), solved by deleting, fixing the proper file or simply removing all the *rc files (or creating a new user). I've tried all of these possible solutions to no avail.
* The same thing happens on the "Add Widgets..." dialog.
* This problem is present in two of my computers.
* It's apparently happening to the complete plasmashell, as the desktop hangs every few seconds (for instance, the progress bar that represents the timeout in the notifications keeps hanged as well).

This was fixed recently.
