SUMMARY
This is only a feature request, NOT a bug.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a browser
2. Navigate to any page where fileuploading is possible. http://https://www.pdfescape.com/open/
3. Rightclip a pdf-file in the file-dialog.
4. It would be nice to have the option to preview(open file) a pdf directly in the file dialog. :-)

OBSERVED RESULT
Only "open in destination folder" exists, in the rightclick-menu.

EXPECTED RESULT
It would be nice to have the option to preview the pdf directly.

Are you using the KDE file dialog in your browser? Note that most browsers are GTK based, and use the GTK file dialog.

Yes you are right. It is the Kdialog. Product and status reopened.
Comment 3 Christoph Feck 2019-11-03 12:42:31 UTC
Does pressing F11 show the preview panel? If yes, are e.g. images showing up, but no PDF? You need kdegraphics-thumbnailers installed for PostScript and PDF files.
