Seems graphics-client-related on Waylabd. Moving to KWin for now. This bug report is quite old. I cannot reproduce this issue with KDE 5.22.5. If this issue this persists, please provide a new backtrace, preferably with debug symbols. @Nate I may be wrong, because I'm not that familiar with the code base and product tagging, yet, but I don't think this should be tagged to product kwin, but rather systemsettings. I don't see anything in the backtrace provided that hints to kwin. Well, sort of. It's crashing in the graphics driver. In fact it's the NVIDIA EGL one, which is on the way out. So this is probably not going to be reproducible or worth fixing, even if it was. Please remember to manually set the resolution to WAITINGFORINFO when you use the NEEDSINFO status. :) This doesn't happen automatically, unfortunately.
