Comparison of brush strokes in scratchpad and on canvas

SUMMARY
When ever I try to do a fluid line on canvas, it comes out all wonky and angular -- but no issue when tested on the brush scratch pad

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Testing out free-hand strokes with (assumed) fluid lines

OBSERVED RESULT
Strokes all coming out angular on canvas

EXPECTED RESULT
Brush strokes to be loose and un-angular

I have also gone on the forums and at this point am pretty sure this is a bug

I will confirm this. It happens on all sizes canvases, but it is very notorious in big canvas as the one in the attached screenshot (5600 x 7200)

macOS openGL has been long abandoned by apple much before even metal was released. Im not sure when we will be able to fix this properly.
