I think it would be sensible to have the option to disable suggestions while typing.

Very often I'm at the end of a line during translation and want to press enter to jump to the next line, but instead typing suggestions appear and the immediate result of that is the last word that has been typed changes to the suggestion, and so I'm forced to delete the last characters and then press enter.

This feature is very helpful when the number of suggestions is already large and/or several technical terms are used, but not so much when translation is not complex or when the number of suggestions is just one (often a mere plural).

I found out it is already possible to disable suggestions, so this issue can be disregarded.

To disable suggestions, one needs to set Settings > Configure Lokalize... > Editing > "Minimum word length for word completion" to 2 or less, which disables word completion.

This leads to the question of why it isn't discoverable, though.
I would have expected something like what is present on the Screen Locking KCM of System Settings, which contains "Lock screen: [ ] automatically after: [1min]".
