SUMMARY

After latest updates to kde 5.17, when I try and open a program that requires root access eg Synaptic the rotine to request the root password is not invoked and the program does not open. If sudo synapitic is run from terminal it opens.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to open any program that requires root access.

Program does not open

EXPECTED RESULT
Program should request root password and then open.

After updating to 5.17.4 no program using pkexec requesting root authentication would work. Reverted the change to fix it for us.

Is this still a problem for unpatched Plasma 5.21? It's working fine for me in openSUSE Tumbleweed.
