SUMMARY
"Extract frame" make white squear.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click on Clip monitor.
2. Select Extract frame.
3.

Please try with the current Kdenlive AppImage version 19.08.2b to see if there are any packaging issues https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/ 

If the problem/issue doesn't occur when using the AppImage, then it's your configuration or packaging.

It's happens when mode 'Use GPU processing' is On. All my troubles with thumbnails happens in this mode.

GPU accelaretion is switched off since version 19.04 due to stablility issues. Exactly to avoid these issues you are facing. So please switch of GPU acceleration. 

It's on the to-do list to enebale it. GPU acceleration will probably come in 2020 as mlt has to be updated as well. 

I close this issue as it is an upstream problem.
