Backtrace after I tweaked Plasma Renderer settings
So after tweaked Plasma Renderer, by using OpenGL for the backend the Threaded for Loop, Plasma Shell still crashes, but it reloads this time around.
(In reply to techxgames from comment #2) > Plasma Shell still crashes, but it reloads this time > around. Spoke too soon It seems that the crash mainly happens after I switch to a different activity the first time, but it doesn't seem to happen (or happen much less often) the second time and onwards. At the moment this is just a hunch, but I noticed that any activity that has a slideshow enabled as a wallpaper will cause Plasma to crash, even if it's for a single monitor. I filed bug 413068 earlier (lock screen crashes with slideshow wallpapers). What are the chances they are related? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 413018 *** |

Switch to a different activity OBSERVED RESULT Black screen occurs, then I have to reload it with `plasmashell --replace` EXPECTED RESULT Should be able to load normally SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Kubuntu 19.10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.17.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.62.0 Qt Version: 5.12.4 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-18-generic OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-6500 CPU @ 3.20GHz Memory: 15.6 GiB of RAM GPU: GTX 1060 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Dunno if this affected it, but I have a script that'll allow me to change CPU frequency and GPU performance based on the activity it switched to.
