Description André 2019-10-11 15:24:55 UTC
I can not select the option "configuration / metadata / if possible write metadata in Raw file" since I changed distribution (Digikam 5.9 / Emmabuntus Debian Strech). It works correctly on another computer (Digikam 5.3 / MX 18). I compared the list of installed packages between the 2 stations. It's the same except for version numbers of course. Note: I can only run Digikam via command line, after putting "unset QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME". But Irt said this point is due to delay to have a good gateway between KDE and Gnome desktop and it not concerns this forum.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian 10 (by Emmabuntus Deb3 distribution)
(available in About System)
KDE Plasma Version: none
KDE Frameworks Version: none
Gnome Version: 3.30.2 / Qt5

Hi,

This option have been disabled due to the huge risk to destroy RAW image with the Exiv2 metadata engine.

But after few release, a lots of users vote to reactive this option. You will find it in current 6.3.0 stable release, or you can try the 6.4.0 pre release AppImage available here :
