Can you please attach the output of Help->System Information for Bug Reports? It sounds like it might be a GPU driver problem. Created attachment 123008 [details]

It seems to be quite long... I'm not sure this is it.
* I replaced some of my system's directory name.
Thanks for your comment! Automatically switching the status of this bug to REPORTED so that the KDE team knows that the bug is ready to get confirmed. In the future you may also do this yourself when providing needed information. Could you check if this still happens * if you disable Use Texture Buffer in settigns->configure krita->display? * if you change the renderer to Angle ? It still happens in git 79cc75e, but I can't catch the exact moment. I'm trying... The provided commit sha1 includes my fixes for selection outline artifacts, so the problem should still be there. I'm not sure whether it's fixed or not but I haven't been able to see this happening for the last couple of months. Hi, acc4commissions! Thank you for the feedback! I haven't managed to reproduce the bug here locally. Last time I saw something similar was before my Qt outline patches. Let's close it for now. If you happen to reproduce the bag in a recent version, please reopen it :) It happened again with 5.0 alphas. And I still have 0 idea where it's coming from. :/ It's happening again with 5.1.1. The renderer is OpenGL and the texture buffur is off. I may have accidently press Ctrl+h(Display Selection) and thought it was 'fixed' after rebooting krita because the 'Display Selection' state is not saved and reset(might this be a bug?) after rebooting krita. I'll disable the shortcut and see if it happens again. It hasn't been happening since I disabled Ctrl+h(Display Selection). I guess it was the culprit and I'm setting this to resolved. I hope that no shortcut is assigned to that feature by default because it's very rarely used and it can cause confusion like I've been through. But now that I know it's the case, personally I'm good. |
