STEPS TO REPRODUCE
I watch a video, say on youtube, and the mpris plugin on plasma (and my phone through KDE Connect) shows that I'm playing this video ; I can interact with it.


OBSERVED RESULT
If I close the tab, it still says the video is there and stopped. The only way to have it released is to close the whole firefox.

EXPECTED RESULT
If I close the tab, mpris should be released. so that no notification is shown.

Can't reproduce. Media player controls disappear when I close the tab.
Can you check the output of the following command before and after you close the tab?
qdbus org.mpris.MediaPlayer2.*
