When comparing 2 files or merging 3, the previous view placing the different versions in a column layout was very easy to work with. The files are now all shown in rows which makes the feature very hard to work with :(


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. diff 2 files or do a 3 way merge with git

OBSERVED RESULT
The different versions of the files are shown in rows

EXPECTED RESULT
The different versions of the files should be in columns (or at least offer a preference to pick the layout)

This functionality is already available via "Toggle Split Orientation" under "Window".
